Data methodology

How every fact on a route or guide page is sourced, verified and dated before it goes live.

Every fact on a route or guide page carries a source and a "last checked" date. We do not publish a page until the facts it contains have been verified against an authoritative source and internally reviewed.

Distance and duration

Numbers shown on route pages carry a provenance record in the underlying content model. The renderer only surfaces a distance or a duration when that provenance is present, so pages degrade gracefully rather than publish an unsupported figure.

Citing this page is not, on its own, a validation of a specific figure. Each route's published duration remains attached to a dated review and can be corrected as conditions or sources change.

Tariffs

The prices guide distinguishes Málaga urban airport tariffs from Andalusian interurban tariffs. Each tariff reference identifies its official source and review date. Aena and municipal summaries can differ from the BOJA text; we identify discrepancies rather than silently treating every summary as interchangeable.

Price estimation

We do not publish automatic taxi totals from road distance alone. The applicable tariff, minimum fare, meter start, waiting time and treatment of supplements must be established for the actual journey. Urban rates must not be extrapolated to trips between municipalities. Ask the provider to explain the applicable fare and any agreed total.

Road distances are routing snapshots, not billable taxi distances or live traffic predictions. Their original source dates remain visible when only the surrounding editorial guidance has been updated.
